This course is meant to help close the gap between what the suttas describe about the lifestyle and training of the Buddha’s noble lay disciples, and how we often practice today. The course focuses on practical, doable ways of taking on trainings that are mentioned in the Canon but are rarely emphasized in modern lay life. Along the way, we’ll include a deeper dive into various topics to support serious lay practice such as: training to keep the eight precepts, breath meditation, rarely practiced meditation topics in the Canon, dependent co-arising as a practical framework for practice, the dhutangas in lay life, and the lives and teachings of noble lay disciples.Sessions will be conducted via Zoom, supported by homework, with teacher guidance and accountability. To register for the Level 2 course, complete the form below.
